Thoth\/Tote\/Tehuti's symbol of the ibis bird refers to his searching for wisdom as the ibis searches for food within the muddy depths of waters. This points us to our own unconscious or subconscious, to search for the light of the Divine within us. Behind him burns the Flower of Life, a reference to the halls of Amenti, and he holds part of the Emerald Tablets in his hands, the finished tablets lie next to his seat. Here are his writings about the Atlantean civilisation which was conceived by higher dimensional Beings from the Atlantean dimension. Tote describes how '30 plus two' of the Atlanteans left the crumbling empire to survive the flood (where the tale of Noah & the ark comes from) and set out towards different corners of the globe, to take their wisdom elsewhere. This wisdom formed the basis of that of the ancient Egyptians as well as several other wisdom traditions such as those of the Inca in Peru, and the ancient Greeks. In Greek controlled Egypt, the Hellenistic period, he became merged with Hermes to be known as \u2018Hermes Trismegistus (thrice greatest).. The teachings attributed to him under this name became known. As Hermeticism, a philosophical tradition focused on esoteric knowledge, alchemy and the interconnectedness of All, that everything is reflected, the microcosm and macrocosm. Like Tote\/Thoth before the themes emphasise the nature of reality, These teachings had a major influence on several later traditions including Christian mysticism and Gnosticism.\u00a0<\/p>
