Taweret: typical meanings: goddess of birth, including the rebirthing of the \u2018dead\u2019. Her associated symbols include the lioness, crocodile and female hippopotamus for their ferocious and protective qualities. Other renderings of her name include: Opet\/Apet\/Tauret\u00a0<\/p>
<\/p>
As humans, we all experience many deaths and rebirths during this Life. Many deaths of the negative ego self, a peeling away of layers of what no longer serves our highest good. In this case we are concerned with the birthing of ones' Self. Symbols include the knife (protection\/cutting of cords of attachment) the Sa (sign of protection) & her energies of both crocodile (headdress tail) & hippopotamus ears (hippos are loving but lethal if provoked.) Above her head, at a side angle is the constellation with which Taweret is linked.<\/p>
<\/p>
Fearsome yet maternal, akin to Kali. She wants us to bring out our best and may shake us up out of self-pity, dependency on anything external which prevents us from manifesting our inherent divine creative abilities. Like a mother bird who urges her chicks to fly, these archetypes, Beings, push us to be our best and stretch ourselves far beyond what we have believed are the limits of our capacities. The Sa symbol is to remind us that no matter what occurs in the realm of the physical, our true Self, our Soul self, can never be harmed, regardless of what the experience in material reality.\u00a0<\/p>
<\/p>
The overall meaning is one of renewal, rebirth, purification (hence the watery globe on which she sits). The yellow sunflower in which she sits is to remind us that utilising our willpower (3rd\/solar plexus chakra) is essential to our future progress. It must not be confused with narcissistic egotism\/the negative ego who seeks to control out of a lack of trust in Life\/God within. She also reminds us it is perfectly natural and normal to protect our boundaries when needed - our kindness can no longer be taken for weakness.\u00a0<\/p>

These beings can be seen as personifications of the various attributes we humans can develop or uncover within ourselves. They are for hope, strength and inspiration, to assist us in returning to the 'god' Self, the Conscious Creator that we truly are underneath the layers of outer\/3D world conditioning.<\/p>

This is another in my on going 'God\/Goddess' collection...I am also a Ma'at Sekhem 'energy healer'\/'lightworker', which is coming from the same place as the is the guidance to paint these images. I am creating a set of oracle cards from these images & the information that I receive whilst painting\/meditating, etc. The point is for the Awakening of the divine Masculine and Feminine within us as individuals and a Collective - for harmony, Light, balance - for the 'new Earth'.\u00a0<\/p>
