In this image I have painted a globe turned to show Guatemala and South America because these countries are where the highest quality true ceremonial forms of Cacao are grown (named Criollo). Many of the others available are modern hybrids which lack the ceremonial qualities of high levels of theobromine and theophylline. This form is the closest we have to the type used by the ancient Maya, who considered 'her' to be a deity. One of the healing compounds within cacao is theobromine - theo meaning 'God' in Latin; the Maya referred to Cacao as 'the food of the gods' (further info below).\u00a0<\/p>
<\/p>
In my painting I depict the spirit\/consciousness of Cacao with balanced male\/female energies (snake imagery, red representing feminine, blue representing masculine), a reference to the balance we are all seeking. Sitting atop a purple lotus to indicate her enlightening\/neuro-enhancing qualities (crown chakra). A purple tint may also be noticed in the physical drink. 'She' is sending out heart healing rays from her heart to ours.\u00a0<\/p>
<\/p>
Her 3 faces represent past, present, future. Her eyes are open only at the front because she encourages us to live in the moment, for NOW is all there truly IS. It is also through the eyes that frequencies are radiated. The past\/future faces are breathing in the scent of the flowers of the Cacao to indicate the lessons and growth we gain from embracing our past pains and surrendering fears of the future. The radiating purple\/blue rays I employ to suggest the energetic power Cacao has, while the white is a reference to the spiral and cosmic rays which are being sent to our planet by our Elders, assisting in our Awakening of Consciousness. Our job is to \"Light Up\", heal ourselves and become Lights for others.\u00a0<\/p>

Health benefits: Theobromine is a vasodilator, a diuretic and heart stimulant, supporting cardio health, the immunity and also neurological function. On the psycho-emotional level, in the form of Cacao, these compounds can assist in trauma therapy, reconnecting us to our heart centres\/chakra, assisting our Awakening to the fourth dimension. Cacao also contains theophylline, which, amongst other benefits acts as a bronchodilator, relaxing the smooth muscles of the airways, making it useful in cases of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. \u00a0<\/p>
