She is associated with the embalming process and also assists in the journey through the 'Underworld' - including the Dark Night of the Soul that we all must traverse. The 'underworld' may be understood as a reference to our 'shadow self', to use the term coined by Carl Jung.\u00a0<\/p>

Her skills include medicine and the most potent and therefore challenging of healing, the deep kind which releases the darkest of entities and negativities held within a human.\u00a0<\/p>
She helps us to become free of our darknesses and may be called upon at such times, to give us the courage to go on with this difficult self-reflection.\u00a0<\/p>

I saw her as a phoenix rising, a shaman coming out from the 'fire', because in order to become a healer of this magnitude one must experience & overcome a myriad of trials, tests, pain & humiliation. She is defiant in the face of subjugation, Serqet helps us to rise above whatever is disempowering us. I have set her in flames that are also reminiscent of a lotus, for the indication of overcoming as well as enlightenment. They are a bold yellow for the solar plexus, our centre of will and personal power. Utilising colour has helped my self-healing greatly and so I highly recommend this tool - if you find a colour especially uncomfortable you may well need it in your life. This has been my personal experience. In take can be in the form of foods and drinks (lemon for instance) - not necessarily wearing it! Stones\/crystals such as citrine and orange calcite are helpful.\u00a0<\/p>

There is a predominance of orange tones in this piece because of the predominant need for the healing of the sacral in our societies and as individuals. Many of us misuse the creative energy of this centre, we have learnt this behaviour and frequently experienced abuses relating to sexuality, sex, finance. The sacral energy is also tied into that of Kundalini, which resides at the base of the spine and also the perinium and pelvic floor. Squeezing and releasing these muscles alongside focus and slow, deep breathing can help release energetic tensions stored here....
