This image is partly based upon my own vision which was then confirmed by an ancient sculpture that shows Hathor seated & holding a baby - said to be Horus. It is thought that Isis/Aset replaced Hathor as the image of the divine mother in the later stages of Egyptian development & is thus most often thought of as the mother of Horus in contemporary society.

The cow horns surrounding her sun disk represent Hathor's association with the cow as well as (perhaps) the fallopian tubes.

I have used a rising sun & clouds to suggest her links to the sky as well as to regeneration and rebirth, Awakening to our True 'god' Selves.

Contemporary observations:

Hathor of The Hathors, a collective assisting Humanity in its Awakening. Shown holding the inner child pointing to the Heart. Be your own parent, best friend.

She embodies the liberated mother, one breast is exposed to indicate how we should be free to breast feed without fear of being shamed by our patriarchal societies. Hathor is indicates that we can be both loving mothers and sensual women, that we do not have to give up that aspect of ourselves but can integrate the all that we are. The image can also be used to help us embrace the inner child that resides within us all - by becoming our own parent, by listening to the needs of those younger parts of ourselves much 'healing' aka integration of the fragmented self can be achieved.

This image is part of a series I am working on which all started when I received a message telling me to 'restore the ring of god-goddess in order to receive the Truth Mysteries...' back in 2009. Each being has guidance and infinite love to support us in our growth and learning, our evolution. This project will become a set of oracle cards in the future.

Hathor is often associated with motherhood, beauty, dancing, sensuality...likened to Aphrodite by the Greeks.
